Automation & AI
AI & Agentic Operations
Most businesses already run a capable ERP or CRM. The opportunity is not to replace it — it is to put AI agents to work inside it, handling the repetitive, rule-based tasks that currently consume your team's time.
Weblink Plus designs and builds operational AI agents for Business Central, Dynamics 365, NetSuite and Salesforce — for businesses across Australia and New Zealand that want measurable results, not a proof of concept that never ships.
Our order of operations
Clean data first, then AI
AI agents are only as reliable as the data they act on. An agent that reads invoices from a system where vendor records are duplicated, GL codes are inconsistent, and purchase orders are not matched will produce unreliable outputs — and your team will spend more time correcting exceptions than they did doing the work manually.
Our order of operations is deliberate: a stable ERP and CRM core first, then connected, integrated data across systems, then clean reporting — and only then, AI and agents doing the work on top of a foundation you can trust.
If your ERP data is already in good shape, we can move quickly. If it is not, we will tell you honestly — and help you fix the foundation before we build on it.
Stable operating core
ERP and CRM configured correctly, master data clean, processes documented.
Connected data
Systems talking to each other without manual re-keying. Reliable reporting. A single version of the truth across finance, operations, and sales.
AI and agents on top
Agents that act on real data, with defined rules and human-in-the-loop guardrails for exceptions.
The stack
Three layers, built in order
Each layer depends on the one below it. Skipping ahead produces fragile results.
Operating core
ERP & CRM
Business Central, NetSuite, Dynamics 365, or Salesforce — configured correctly, with clean master data and documented processes. This is the system of record everything else depends on.
Connected data
Integration & Power BI
Systems talking to each other without manual re-keying. Reliable reporting. A single version of the truth across finance, operations, and sales.
Agents & Copilot
Doing the work
Agents that read documents, match records, route exceptions, and surface insights — working inside the ERP and CRM your team already uses, not alongside it.
Definition
What an operational AI agent actually is
A chatbot answers questions. An operational agent takes action. It reads a document, looks up records in your ERP, applies your business rules, and either completes the task or routes an exception to a human for review — without anyone having to kick it off manually.
Agents are not general-purpose AI. They are purpose-built for a specific workflow, with defined inputs, defined rules, and defined outputs. That specificity is what makes them reliable enough to run in a production finance or operations environment.
They work inside the systems your team already uses — not in a separate tool your team has to remember to check.
- Supplier emails an invoice PDF to a monitored inbox.
- The agent reads the invoice — vendor, amount, line items, PO reference.
- It looks up the matching purchase order in Business Central.
- Decision: does the invoice match within tolerance?
- Yes — post receipt and queue payment. Invoice never touches the AP queue.
- No — flag reason (wrong amount, missing PO, duplicate) and route to AP team for review.
How Weblink Plus can help
What we build
Every engagement starts with one measurable workflow, scoped at a fixed price and timeline — consistent with how we run ERP projects.
AI readiness assessment
A structured review of your ERP data quality, existing integrations, and the workflows most likely to benefit from automation. We identify the highest-value candidates and give you a clear picture of what is ready to automate now and what needs groundwork first.
Operational agents
Purpose-built agents for document processing, invoice matching, order and inventory exception routing, and other high-volume, rule-based workflows. Built inside your existing ERP and CRM environment, with human-in-the-loop approval for exceptions.
Decision automation
Predictive cash flow modelling, late-payment risk scoring, reorder recommendations, and anomaly detection — surfaced inside your ERP so your finance and operations teams can act on them without leaving the system they already use.
Copilot and knowledge assistants
Copilot for Business Central and Dynamics 365, natural-language queries over your finance data, and knowledge search across ERP records. See also our AI & Copilot Solutions page for the full Microsoft Copilot stack.
We scope every engagement at a fixed price and timeline, starting with one workflow. Once that is running reliably, we expand from there — the same disciplined approach we use for ERP implementations.
Proven in production
Real projects, not demos
Our integration and automation work is grounded in delivered projects, not slide decks.
Retail & FMCG integration project
A multi-system integration project connecting ERP, warehouse management, and e-commerce platforms for a retail and FMCG business — eliminating manual data transfer between systems and providing a single view of inventory and orders.

The payoff
Fewer manual steps
High-volume, rule-based tasks handled by agents — your team focuses on the work that actually requires judgement.
Faster month-end close
Invoice matching, reconciliation, and exception routing completed in hours rather than days.
Cleaner data
Agents enforce consistency at the point of entry — fewer duplicates, fewer coding errors, fewer corrections at month-end.
Lower support load
Routine queries answered by Copilot and knowledge assistants, reducing the volume of questions that reach your finance and operations teams.
Staff time back
Time recovered from manual processing redirected to higher-value work — analysis, customer relationships, and process improvement.
Measurable from day one
We scope every engagement around a specific workflow with a defined baseline, so you can measure the improvement directly.
Running costs
What AI costs to run, and what it saves
This is about usage costs once an agent is live, not implementation. Most of what businesses need is either already in their ERP licence or billed per use, so cost scales with volume rather than headcount.
Already in your licence
Business Central
Built-in Copilot features — drafting, bank reconciliation suggestions, analysis assist — are included with the licence at no extra charge today.
NetSuite
Text Enhance, Bill Capture, anomaly detection, and Ask Oracle are included with the relevant modules.
Microsoft and Oracle can change these terms, so we confirm what is included for your licence during the assessment.
Pay-per-use agents
| Agent | Unit | Copilot Credits | Approx. cost (US$) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Payables Agent (Business Central) | per invoice + per line | 50 + 5 per line | ~$0.65 for a 3-line invoice |
| Sales Order Agent (Business Central) | per order request | ~14–17 | ~$0.14–$0.17 |
| Expense Agent | per receipt | 50 | ~$0.50 |
| Copilot Studio custom agent | per generative answer | 2 | ~$0.02 |
Based on Microsoft's published pay-as-you-go rate of about US$0.01 per Copilot Credit (October 2026). Prepaid credit packs can lower the effective rate. AUD cost varies with the exchange rate.
Salesforce Agentforce and external AI models (via the NetSuite AI Connector or Azure OpenAI) are priced by their providers — we model these for your volumes before you commit.
Where the savings come from
Independent research by Ardent Partners (2025) puts the average cost of processing a supplier invoice at US$9.40, while the most automated, best-in-class AP teams process them for US$2.78. Most of that gap is people time spent keying, matching, and chasing.
Illustrative example
A business processing 500 supplier invoices a month, averaging 3 lines each. Payables Agent usage: about 32,500 credits, roughly US$325 a month. Closing just half the benchmark gap between average and best-in-class (US$3.31 per invoice) frees around US$1,650 a month in processing effort — roughly five times the agent's running cost — before counting faster close, fewer duplicate payments, and captured early-payment discounts.
Your numbers will differ. Our AI readiness assessment measures your current baseline so the business case uses your data, not industry averages.
